     
Game at Qualcomm Stadium
Last Updated: December 10, 2006 In a shocking turn of events, the PHS football team beat La Costa Canyon in the semifinals and made it all the way to the finals! On Monday, December 4, the Poway Titans faced off against the Carlsbad Lancers at Qualcomm standium. The outcome? Poway accepts a tought defeat with a score of 6 to 43. Still, I congratulate our football team for making it all the way there and having good sportsmanship...
More importantly, this meant that the Emerald Brigade had the opportunity to play in the stands that night! Much to many's dismay, the directors decided that we would not do our field show or dress into uniform there. This was why I was a little upset prior to the event, however, I realize now that the evening was much better spent relaxed, talking with friends, and eating (because uniforms would have restricted us from this activity)! This allowed my to travel around the stands taking plenty of photos, 48 of which I put into this album. Enjoy!
Our call time was at 7 PM (which had been announced that very same morning). Only PEP band students had been asked to attend but anyone in the band and color guard was welcomed to come. (Sadly, student performing in the Symphony Orchestra could not attend because there was a rehearsal that same night.) Anyway, we ended up taking up four buses with extra room left over. Once at the game, we played PEP band songs and the fight song twice. After the game, we all arrived back at the Poway campus around 11 PM and hurried home to get some much needed sleep. Hope that everyone made it through school the following Tuesday!
