     
2006 Band Awards Night
Last Updated: August 12, 2006 This album features pictures from the band awards night held ealier this year on Friday, July 7, 2006! The evening kicked off with a dinner catered by Pat and Oscars. Once inside the PAC, a nice (but very, very loooooooooong) slideshow was shown of our 2005 marching season. After there were senior awards given out as voted by the seniors themselves! Basically nominees were listed for strange catagories (such as "most likely to annoy the band directors") and then the winner would get a funny prize. (The "suck up" award winner got a Klennex box...)
Later, the band directors handed out more awards to individuals, as well as entire groups. Every band student also recived a certificate (plus a plaque for juniors and seniors) for their work in band that year. Finally, some special awards went to Nate M. and Marshall V. for their amazing talent and progress in the music program. All of our seniors desevered recognition however because they were dedicated to the band. They had so much talent and spirit leading me to believe that they were the reason why we won at Westview and Arcadia last year. Thanks to all of them for making last year so wonderful...
Sorry for the lack of pictures but I was too proccupied with signing yearbooks and saying goodbye to the senoirs that night. *sob, sob* Sorry for all the mushy stuff above too. Also, thanks to Drew for taking the two pictures that I am in.
