Poway Preview of Champions
This is the 9th year Poway has hosted a pre-tournament event showing the upcoming field shows for the season. Around 9 or 10 bands were invited this year, including our Poway District Schools: Westview, Mt. Carmel, and Rancho Bernardo. The bands did not recieve awards, but were given ratings by judges to clue them in on how they were doing so far in the season. We performed last, performing the first three movements of our show, as well as standing and playing the fourth movement. Interestingly, there were some communication problems and we arrived late to our own field. Oops!

Mt. Carmel Tournament

At the 29th Annual Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands we participated in parade and field competition. The parade competition took place in the morning and the field shows in the evening. The Emerald Brigade was the third from the end to perform. That night we walked away with a first place trophy, coming very close to beating Rancho Bernardo who won all of the Sweepstakes Awards. Vista Tournament
We came in first at at the Vista Invitation Field Tournament! I didn't have much time to take pictures since we were stuck in traffic and our buses arrived late...
